50 say whuh?!
“It gets uncomfortable at some point, especially when corporations do it to you. Like you gonna go to the store and beef with the kid at the counter.”
50 Cent on people trying to capitalize off his fame, in particular Taco Bell. Fifty is suing the food giant over using his name without permission in advertising that asks him to call himself 99 Cent. The Mexican-themed chain’s campaign promotes items for under a dollar, including Cinnamon Twists for 79 cents, Crunchy Tacos for 89 cents and Bean Burritos for 99 cents and features him in a print ad asking him to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent. Apparently Fifty had no idea he was featured until he saw news reports about it, therefore he’s seeking $4 million in damages.
Damn ma, that’s a whole lotta 50 cent pieces.
