You have to be pretty damn special to release a Best Of album. Suffice to say People Under The Stairs or P.U.T.S as people fondly refer to them, have earned their keep. Since 1998, the Californian duo, Thes One and Double K, have released a record every two years (with the exception of 2004) – The Next Step (1998), Question In The Form Of An Answer (2000), O.S.T. (2002), Stepfather (2006) and Fun DMC (2008). Given their popularity a decade later, Om Records have celebrated P.U.T.S by compiling a two disc retrospective of grimy breaks, rare grooves, funk flavours and rhyme classics from hip hop underground’s most favourable pair.
