Quannum couple Gift Of Gab (born Timothy Parker; rapper) and Chief Xcel (born Xavier Mosley; DJ/producer) – aka Blackalicous – hasn’t been able to drop an album since 2005’s The Craft. But crumpet knows all good things happen to those that wait and fans are in for a real treat when the pair re-release Melodica – their first ’93 EP only pressing 2500 hundred copies at the time. crumpet caught up with Gift Of Gab before he hits Australia for the festival season.
“It will be like a ‘then and now’ sort of thing,” gab explains. “This was our first record and this is where were at now. Kind of like you know showcasing the evolution from where we were when we first began to where we are right now, artistically.”
