Actually its Kevin and he runs a dope site called kevinnottingham.com. His genius website provides music reviews, latest news and runs downloads to hip hop sample albums which is what got our attention. Seriously we’ve been on the download and lettin’ the Alpine blast the whole weekend with the sample album posts on his site: right herr.
We’ve just gotten savvy to the site and we recommend hittin up the exclusive download page. Plenty of tunes to keep on heavy rotation. We give Kev’s site a big thumbs up and 4 Crumpets. Fresh!

Nov 18th

We at Crumpet always have the freshest beats up on our techincs 1200’s. We are constantly digging and scratching the surface for artist and music that are pushing the boundries and making us groove. And whats even better we LOVE to share the goodness with ya’ll….Count Bass D-L7

You might be asking yourself “who’s this guy?”……. “Never heard of him”…..well take a few minutes to introduce yourself to his music and you are assured you won’t be disappointed!
Count Bass D is a multi instrumentalist beat maker and downright fresh lyricist, bringing forward his 7th studio album L7 with precise accuracy.
L7 is a mash up of jazz’d out beats, spacey synths, crafty sample stabs with Count Bass D’s conscious and witty microphone manipulation sprinkled over the top for good measure. Highlite tracks include “Can we hang out Tonight” and “Neon Soul”….Never the less each track has its own persona that definitely takes you on a journey into unknown realms.Introduce yourself!

Hip Hop I love you, but step out of line and I will beat that ass.
I think the time has come to clear something up. Having a MySpace and possibly a shaved head too does not make you a rapper. The digital age has been a great way for so many to get their music to the masses, but it also means Steve from Smithfield now thinks he’s a superstar. There is no simpler way to put this, I would rather listen to a Himalayan Sherpa playing a symphony on the pubic hair of an Alaskan Seal than the painful bullshit that seeps from your pages. People doing Snoop covers, or rapping about guns, or dissing other rappers who nobody has ever heard of, this shit is out of control. Ignorance is indeed bliss as when you stumble on their page it’s full of clueless fuckwits making the problem worse falling at the feet of the musical equivalent of Sarah Palin. I see only one solution, the appointment of a ‘pull your card’ squad to roam MySpace and let wack fucks know their time is up.
MySpace superstars, you have been pimp slapped.

Think spaced atmospheric beats, beautifully crafted melodies, precise beat creation, emotionally crafted music.
Harmonic 313, Uk native and Sydney resident comes correctly on the seminal Warp label. Adopting a forward thinking ethos to create futuristic beats is this man’s equation. Think Sun Ra’s futuristic jazz blended with J Dilla’s crafty beat design then sprinkle a dash of Prince’s funky supercharged melodies and you got Harmonics Ep1 in a nutshell. Visit harmonic313.com solve the word problem and score a free mp3….yeah! we all love free stuff!!
