rotate heavily – the do-over mixes
Aug 14th

OHH how much we are loving these mixes….. For ya’ll that have been stuck under a rock, The Do-over is a LA collective bringing deejays to the people on a Sunday Afternoon. They have been on top of it and recording every set so we can download and subconsciously take ourselves to the northern hemispherical summer and get down. Visit the archives and rotate heavily.
Ohh and by the way its inspired us to do the same once summer rolls into Sydney, so any potential bar/pub owners out there looking for promoters please hit us up.

Whats up on our technics 1200’s?
We at Crumpet always have the freshest beats up on our techincs 1200’s. We are constantly digging and scratching the surface for artist and music that are pushing the boundries and making us groove. And whats even better we LOVE to share the goodness with ya’ll….

James Pants– All The Hits
The hotly anticipated follow up to his début release Welcome has just hit the shelves; yes folks… James Pants is back, space synths and cowbells all in-tacked. James Pants is one of those artists that cannot be pigeon holed, and what’s the point when the music is that great anyway. “All The Hits” sounds like he placed all of his influences in a blender and came up with a smoothy that’s so fresh and unique that it could only be portrayed as the James Pants musical persona. A somewhat “deeper” take on things the the dance floor friendly “Welcome” but none the less a hit on our 1200’s. Purchase at Bleep

3 feet high and still rising
Jun 9th

I had the pleasure to attend the recent 20 year anniversary tour of De La Soul’s “Three Feet High and Rising” album release and boy did they deliver. A group that has been around for 20 years, inspiring generation after generation can be easily described with words such as timeless and inimitable, De La Soul is definitely part of the hip hop hall of fame. Rolling Stones magazine recently caught up with De la where they dissect the album track by track, read here
