Argh 2009. The year MJ died (RIP). Obama became president and the GFC raped us all hard. But in between all the gloom and doom, there was plenty of room for merry moments: Kanye dissing Taylor Swift. Jay-Z feeding us The Blueprint 3. Red + Method Man and their thoughts on Kelis… Yup rehashing 2009 is on everyone’s lips – especially the cool peeps over at Spader. They hit up and cornered one half of Crumpet founder and Attitude magazine journo Bee Peasy to jog her pea-sized brizain for her best 2009 moments a year could bring.

Dang! Kevin Nottingham, one of our favourite blogs, has his website (we hope) temporarily and NOT permanently taken down. Check his message:
“KevinNottingham.com is offline permanently until further notice. After being threatened by my hosting company to take the site down for overloading server resources, I found a new host. Spent the last 24 hours moving everything over to the new server. After moving it to the new server, it crashed their server within an hour and they have suspended the site. Not sure when it’ll be back online”
As frequent downloaders to his website for ever fresh mixes, mixtapes and sample albums we’re poo’d for the meantime so we’ve resorted to twiddling thumbs and playing scrabble

Connecting with the blind and vision impaired communities and encorporating elements of the work he has produced on the streets across the globe, ANDY UPROCK follows ‘Trailblazers’ with the debut of his interactive Braille works in a solo exhibition Graffiti for the Blind – Poetry in Braille – Peace at the MTV Gallery opening Wednesday November 26 from 6-9pm. Presented by Mooks and Vice and in association with Vision Australia the exhibition is a series of emotive interactive works comprising of Braille poetry with cups, a collaborative Braille jewellery collection with TMOD and a series of photographs. All works are for sale with a percentage of proceeds donated to Vision Australia.
